On 31 January, the Swedish publication NTT published an article about its visit to Finnos and Mustola Timber. The Finnos scanner has now been in use at Mustola for about two years, and according to Mustola Timber CEO Raine Koskinen, the scanner has worked flawlessly in all weathers. At Mustola, the Finnos scanner has made it possible to produce the same amount of sawn timber from smaller logs. Despite the challenging winter conditions, Mustola has remained satisfied.
Finnos CEO Jere Heikkinen points out that in 2018 Mustola invested in nothing other than the Finnos scanner, so it is easy to conclude that this very investment is behind the good figures.
All Finnos scanners are manufactured in-house from start to finish, and fast installation makes year-round installations possible. At present, more than 50 percent of all Finnish raw material is sorted with Finnos scanners. So, according to Heikkinen, something has been done right. Attention is now also beginning to turn towards other countries.
