In its issue of 29.11.2019, Lapin Kansa wrote about the renewal of the sawmill of Tervolan Saha ja Höyläämö Oy (Tervola Sawmill and Planing Mill), one part of which has been an equipment purchase: Finnos' X-ray log scanner. With the log scanner, the sawmill can minimise the amount of waste wood and maximise the benefit better than before.
"The yield from the logs improves so that raw material savings of 1 to 3 per cent are generated," estimates CEO Juha Kokkonen.
The installation of the log scanner has progressed according to plan. Sawmill owner Lea Kokkonen praises the main equipment supplier Finnos and the subcontractors for the fact that the installation work has kept to schedule and the workmanship has been tidy. According to the interview, the installation has reached the stage where only the electrical and automation installation work remains. The log scanner will be put to use on the planned schedule.
