THE JOURNEY TO BECOMING THE PIONEER OF SAWMILL DIGITALISATION

Finnos was founded in 2016 to continue the pioneering development work of its predecessor Bintec, the sawmill industry X-ray technology pioneer founded in 1988. During its history Bintec delivered X-ray systems not only to Finland but also to Europe and the Baltics. Founded on the threshold of sawmill digitalisation, Finnos decided to take the role of pioneer from the start. With our expertise, strongly specialised in different scanning technologies and software solutions, we stood out from the rest. Our goal is to combine in a new way all the information available from the sawmill process, either scanned with our own technologies or by integrating with other systems. From the combined information, that is data fusion, we create added value for our customers in the form of raw material savings and more accurate sorting. Fittingly, the log scanner we developed based on multiple scanning technologies was named FUSION. Thanks to uncompromising product development and expertise rare in the industry, Finnos has grown from seven people to over 50 experts and now offers turnkey solutions for the sawmill industry.

Finnos Oy strives for superior quality in all its operations. The company's operations are based on an EHQS system that meets the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system and ISO 14001 environmental management system standards.
