Finnos and Vaagen Brothers Lumber Inc have agreed on a delivery that includes a Finnos Fusion log scanner (3D + X-ray) enhanced with the latest AI software. In addition, Finnos will deliver a Finnos Board Scanner for grading planed timber, a moisture meter, and Finnos Board End Vision, a machine vision system that images the end of the board.
The Finnos Fusion will be used to sort logs on the sorting line not only by geometric properties but also by internal quality properties, such as knots. In addition, the sawmill will be able to sort logs by wood species. The scanners will be delivered to the Vaagen Brothers Lumber Inc. sawmill in Colville, WA.
