Teollisuusuutiset wrote about Finnos's past journey and growth story in their September 2019 issue. Finnos began its journey by conquering the domestic market but is now moving towards the global market. Steps have already been taken into Russia, Sweden, and the Baltic countries, but there has been activity in 18 different countries.

The operation has initially focused mainly on the sawmill industry, and there are currently about twenty new products under development. In addition to these, there are products in development for other industries as well. The pulp industry is becoming Finnos' second pillar, which is a natural continuation of the current operations in the sawmill industry.

Finnos's greatest strengths are listed as significant financial savings for the customer's business, achievable with the scanner, and a record-fast payback period, which is definitely under 12 months.
