On January 31, the Swedish company NTT published an article about its visit to Finnos and Mustola Timber. Finnos’s scanner has been in use at Mustola for about two years now, and according to Raine Koskinen, CEO of Mustola Timber, the scanner has operated flawlessly in all weather conditions. Finnos’s scanner has made it possible for Mustola to produce the same amount of sawn timber from smaller logs. Despite the challenging winter conditions, Mustola has remained satisfied.
Finnos CEO Jere Heikkinen states that in 2018, no investments were made in Mustola other than Finnos's scanner, which makes it easy to conclude that this particular investment is behind the good results.
All of Finnos's scanners are manufactured entirely in-house, and rapid installation enables year-round installations. Currently, over 50 percent of all Finnish raw materials are sorted using Finnos scanners. So, according to Heikkinen, something has been done right. Currently, attention is also beginning to turn towards other countries.
