Finnos and Vaagen Brothers Lumber Inc. have agreed to a delivery that includes the Finnos Fusion log scanner (3D+X-ray) enhanced with the latest AI software. Additionally, Finnos will deliver the Finnos Board Scanner for graded lumber quality control, a moisture meter, and the Finnos Board End Vision machine vision system for end-grain imaging of lumber.
At Finnos Fusion, logs will be sorted on a sorting line according to their geometric properties as well as internal quality characteristics such as knots, etc. Additionally, the sawmill will be able to sort logs by species. The scanners will be delivered to Vaagen Brothers Lumber Inc.'s sawmill in Colville, WA.
